About Us
The APEX Accelerator program, under management of the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), plays a critical role in the Department’s efforts to identify and engage with a wide range of businesses entering and participating in the defense supply-chain. The program provides the education and training that all businesses need to become capable of participating in DoD, federal, state, and local contracts.
The APEX Accelerator mission is to serve as the axis for existing and new business to strengthen the defense industrial base by accelerating innovation, fostering ingenuity, and establishing resilient and diverse supply chains.

Headquartered in Rochester, NY, the Monroe County Finger Lakes APEX Accelerator serves as the primary program for government contracting and marketing assistance, providing free and confidential services to businesses established in and around the Finger Lakes and Syracuse Regions of New York State.
Our 11-county territory includes Cayuga, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates.
As a program hosted by the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency (COMIDA), the APEX is part of the County’s strong commitment to growing diverse small businesses and job creation, and supporting the I-90 Corridor.
